It’s finally feeling like fall, and I love all of the seasonal and festive foods that make their emergence on the Trader Joe’s shelves. After a couple of weeks of taste tasting some new fall favorites, I compiled a list of some of the items we seem to have on repeat. The worst thing about these delicious items, is that they are typically seasonal. So, I may need to stock up on the ones with a bit longer of a shelf life, so I can transition them to colder winter nights.
Trader Joe’s Weekly Haul
I have been enjoying being home on Sundays lately, where I can go on a long run in the morning, lounge around and lazily walk through Trader Joe’s in the afternoon. Since I haven’t been in a rush grabbing only the “regulars,” to get in and out quickly, I have been able to venture out and try a few new things. Here are a few items I have bought recently that I have thoroughly enjoyed.
Even though the food from our vacation was absolutely incredible, I was indulging every. single. day. I was very excited to step foot into Trader Joe’s again and get back into my routine after our vacation. There were some of my typical TJ’s favorites that I missed dearly, and there were some foods I never saw the entire time I was there—peanut butter, broccoli, oatmeal, kale, and Fuji apples—to name a few. I was excited to pick up some healthy, and minor indulgences while I was doing my weekly shopping, since we couldn’t quite go cold turkey on our daily wine and dessert ritual.
Hello, everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. We had so many things going on, from dinner with friends, to a Swiss Club, to a Sunday BBQ for the NBA finals game two and Game of Thrones. It was full of a lot of good food, and a lot of good people. This past week marked the end of the school year and it is hard to believe it’s over. This weekend was full of relaxing and catching up, and I really enjoyed it. I hope it marks a great start to a great week.
Has anyone else been listening to Adele’s new song “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” on repeat and neglecting their as much as I have been lately? I hope you nodded in agreement to only one of those. We have been ultra busy with work…and life lately. It seems as though once the weather starts to warm up, all of our weekends are booked. And don’t get me wrong, we have so many exciting things scheduled, it just requires this girl to be a little more motivated during the week. But, only 7 more days left for this school year and we have an exciting whitewater rafting trip to look forward to this weekend, which makes me more than a little motivated to get through this week 🙂
I hope you had a wonderful weekend celebrating the Kentucky Derby (we bet on Nyquist, so we were pretty stoked!), and your mamas! My friend Katie’s Derby party was a huge hit, she went ALL OUT you guys, every detail and libation was covered. She should seriously start her own party planning company (pictures to follow soon!) We also had both our parents, my brother, sister and brother in-law over for dinner last night to celebrate Mother’s Day, so many of the items I bought this week went into the dinner.
We had the most productive weekend. I went to a Dustin Lynch, Little Big Town, and Luke Bryan concert on Friday night (Thank you, Lauren!), and have been listening to their music everyday since then. I attended the cutest pink baby shower on Saturday for my grad school roomie, and topped the night off with an amazing BBQ with good friends. And I spent Sunday with my favorite two guys doing brunch, running errands, upgrading our yard with loads of flowers, lounging outside, making dinner and eating it poolside and then capping it all off with an exciting episode of Game of Thrones (Two words: Jon Snow). It was so fun to catch up with so many friends, feel energized, and yet so relaxed all at the same time.
I had a lovely weekend in Santa Cruz with two of my very best friends to celebrate my belated birthday. I realized how much I miss girls weekends and catching up with my gal pals. We had a spa day, took a long walk along the beach, did a dinner at a fun Mexican restaurant with one too many skinny margaritas and a lot of good conversation.
